The White Dune (Dune Blanche) is the icon of the peninsula: a crescent of pure white sand rising out of a turquoise lagoon, best visited at high tide. Our half-day tour combines the dune with the natural hot spring of Asnaa and a camel encounter on the shore.
Kitesurfers come to Dakhla from all over the world for its flat-water lagoon and constant trade winds. We partner with certified schools on the PK25 spot to offer beginner courses, coaching and rental at guest rates, plus downwinders to Dragon Island when conditions allow. Non-riders can try stand-up paddle or simply watch the show from a lagoon café.
Food lovers should not miss the oyster farms of Talha, where Dakhla's famous oysters are pulled from the water and shucked in front of you, served with a squeeze of local lime.
